First, open a new canvas 600 x 600. Then, flood fill white. Open your tube and duplicate it into a new window (just use Shift+D). Close the original and leave the duplicate up for reference.
Open a paper of your choice – I am using “Fancy Paper 4” from the kit. Copy it and paste it onto your white canvas. Go ahead and save now.
Optional - Apply Plug-in “VM Distortion>Tumbler.” I used settings 114, 142, 95, 136. Play with the settings as you like.
Now, with your paper layer active, apply your mask. I am using psp-pals_mask54. Be sure that “Source luminance” is checked, “Fit to canvas” is checked, “Hide all mask” is checked, and “Invert transparency” is UNchecked.
Now, right-click on your mask layer and choose “Delete.” Then choose “Yes” to merge the mask into the layer below. Right click on the merged layer and choose “Merge,” then choose “Merge Group.” Save again.
Next, add a drop shadow to your mask layer. Go to Effects>3D Effects>Drop Shadow. I am using settings 0, 0, 100, 2, color – something from your tube. I am using #24246d. You can use a light color or a dark color – play with it and see what looks best. Save.
Copy and paste your tube onto the canvas. Resize it so that it fits within the circle of the mask layer. To resize, click on your pick tool. At the top, you will be able to change the scale. Be sure to change the X and Y scales to the same percentage, so that you don’t alter the appearance of your tube. After resizing, you may need to sharpen your tube. (Adjust>Sharpness>Sharpen)
Change the Blend Mode of your tube layer. For mine, I am using “Burn.” Try them all and see which you like best for your tag!
Copy and paste your flower element onto the edge of the circle part of your mask. I am using the flower from the kit, resized to a width of 150. Duplicate the flower, then on the duplicate layer, go to Image>Mirror, Image>Flip.
Next, use the same flower, resized to a width of 100. Copy and paste it just below the flower on the left of your mask. Duplicate this smaller flower. On the duplicate layer, go to Image Mirror, then Image>Flip. You may need to adjust its position a little.
Then, use the same flower, resized to a width of 75. Copy and paste it just below the smaller flower on the left of your mask. Duplicate this smallest flower. On the duplicate layer, go to Image Mirror, then Image>Flip. You may need to adjust its position a little. Save.
Merge all the flowers into one layer. (Hide the other layers, then right-click on one of the flower layers and choose Merge>Merge Visible.) Add a drop shadow to the flowers layer. Go to Effects>3D Effects>Drop Shadow. I am using settings 3, 0, 60, 5, color black.
Hide your white background layer, and merge the other layers together. Just right-click on one of the visible layers and choose Merge>Merge Visible. Unhide your background layer. Save.
Resize your newly merged layer. Go to Image>Resize. Resize to a width of 200 pixels. Be sure that “Resize all layers” is UNchecked.
On your newly resized layer, apply MuraMeister Copies. Use the default settings for “Encircle,” but change the number setting to “6.” Save.
Make your white background layer active. Copy and paste a 2nd paper. I am using “Fancy Paper 1.”
Now, with your new paper layer active, apply your 2nd mask. I am using “Vix_Mask10”. Be sure that “Source luminance” is checked, “Fit to
canvas” is checked, “Hide all mask” is checked, and “Invert transparency” is UNchecked.
Now, right-click on your mask layer and choose “Delete.” Then choose “Yes” to merge the mask into the layer below. Right click on the merged layer and choose “Merge,” then choose “Merge Group.” Save again.
On your new mask layer, apply Effects>Texture Effects>Mosaic Antique. I used the Factory Default settings.
Copy and paste your tube again. Arrange it as you like on the canvas. Add a drop shadow to your tube. Go to Effects>3D Effects>Drop Shadow. I am using settings 3, 3, 80, 5, color black. Save.
Now, before you add your copyright info and other text, resize the tag to its final size. First, crop off any excess around the edges. Then, choose Image>Resize. Under “Advanced settings,” be sure “Lock aspect ratio” and “Resize all layers” are both CHECKED. Save again.
Now add your copyright info, license number (if applicable), and tagger’s mark (if you use one). Save
Finally, add your name. I am using font “Harrington” at a size of 100, stroke width 1.5, using #003967 for my stroke (foreground) color and white for my fill (background) color. Convert to raster layer. Go to Effects>3D Effects>Drop Shadow. I am using settings 3, 3, 80, 5, color black.
Save and you are done!
