First, open a new canvas 500 x 500. Then, flood fill white. Open your tube and duplicate it into a new window (just use Shift+D). Close the original and leave the duplicate up for reference.
Add a new raster layer. Flood fill with a gradient that compliments your tube. I am using colors #f5d244 and #fefb9e, foreground/background radial gradient with 5 repeats. Save.
Now, with your gradient layer active, apply your mask. I am using Vix_Mask113. Be sure that “Source luminance” is checked, “Fit to canvas” is checked, “Hide all mask” is checked, and “Invert transparency” is UNchecked.
Now, right-click on your mask layer and choose “Delete.” Then choose “Yes” to merge the mask into the layer below. Right click on the merged layer and choose “Merge,” then choose “Merge Group.” Save again.
Now, choose 2 new colors from which you will make a gradient. This is for your flowers. I used colors #ff69a2 and #feb9dd, foreground/background sunburst gradient with 3 repeats.
Choose your Preset Shape tool. Select a flower shape of choice. I am using “Flower 2” with a stroke width of 3. My background is set to my gradient and my foreground is the darker pink color. Draw out a smallish sized flower, about 125 x 125, in the center of your canvas.
Convert the flower layer to a raster layer. Choose your Magic Wand selection tool. Click inside of the flower (the hole in the center). Go to Selections>Modify>Expand by 2. Flood fill that selection with the gradient you just used. Selections>None. Save.
Next, go to Effects>3D Effects>Inner Bevel. Use the following settings: Bevel #2, Width 12, Smoothness 16, Depth 2, Ambience 0, Shininess 0, Angle 315, Intensity 30, Elevation 30, color white. Save.
Now, apply Mura Meister Copies. Use setting “Encircle” – use all the default settings, but change the “Number” option to 7. Duplicate that layer twice, for a total of 3.
On your bottom layer of flowers, apply a Radial blur. Go to Adjust>Blur>Radial Blur. Use Blur Type: Zoom, Strength: 70%, Elliptical: Checked, Horizontal and Vertical offsets 0,
Still on your blur layer, apply the penta.com> “color dot” filter. Settings are 90, 2, 255, 255, 255. Save.
Now, copy and paste your tube. It should be above all layers except for one of the flower layers. On your top flower circle layer, erase any part of the flower circle that you’d like your tube to be in front of. See my tag for an example.
On your tube layer, apply a drop shadow of choice. Go to Effects>3D Effects>Drop Shadow. I am using settings 3, -5, 80, 3, color black. Save.
On your lower flower circle layer, apply a drop shadow of choice. Go to Effects>3D Effects>Drop Shadow. I am using settings 0, 0, 40, 10, color black. Save.
Now, add a new raster layer right above the white background layer. Using your brush of choice, paint designs of choice as a background or accents. I am using several of the Real Butterflies brushes, resizing them so that they are smaller, and using the pinks and yellows from the gradients we made earlier.
Now, before you add your copyright info and other text, resize the tag to its final size. First, crop off any excess around the edges. Then, choose Image>Resize. Under “Advanced settings,” be sure “Lock aspect ratio” and “Resize all layers” are both CHECKED. Save again.
Now add your copyright info, license number (if applicable), and tagger’s mark (if you use one). Save
Finally, add your name. I am using font “Thwack” at a size of 100, stroke width 4, using #ff69a2 for my stroke (foreground) color and a radial gradient with 5 repeats (2nd color is #feb9dd) for my fill (background) color. Stretch it so that it fits to your liking, then align it to the horizontal center of your canvas.
Convert to raster layer. Next, go to Effects>3D Effects>Inner Bevel. Use the following settings: Bevel #2, Width 12, Smoothness 16, Depth 2, Ambience 0, Shininess 0, Angle 315, Intensity 30, Elevation 30, color white. Save.
Go to Effects>3D Effects>Drop Shadow. I am using settings 3, 3, 80, 5, color black. Repeat with settings 0, -3, 80, 5, color black.
Save and you are done!
